What years are considered baby boomers?
According to the United States Censor Bureau, a baby boomer is someone who was born between the years 1946 and 1964, when there was a noticeable increase in the birth rate. This was attributed to the end of World War II, and many countries in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia were affected and have a generation referred to as the “baby boomers”. This is creating some problems now though, as these baby boomers are approaching retirement, creating a potential burden on the government with the balance tipping towards retirees, away from tax-payers compared to how it was in the past.
