What Year Did the Soviet Union Break Up?
The Soviet Union was broken up due to a few factors and also because of internal and external factors. One of the factors that led to the break up of the Soviet Unin was due to an econmic crisis as well as due to the unpopular public policies of Gorbachev. In terms of external factors contributing to the break up of the Soviet Union, the Soviet Union broke up because of various rebellions that were spreading through Central and Eastern Europe, which eventually lead to the collapse of the Berlin Wall.
