What year did the Siberian tiger become endangered?
The Siberian Tiger population was severely affected by the Russian Civil War of the 1930’s, and the Soviet Union did prohibit the legal hunting of tigers, within their borders in 1947. The US Fish and Wildlife Services Program, listed the Siberian Tiger as “endangered”, according to the Endangered Species List, in 1970.
