What would Transcendentalists write about today?

At this point, Thoreau would be calling for protests against the war in Iraq, just as he did to protest the Mexican War. His lecture “The Rights and Duties of the Individual in relation to Government” is as true now as it was then. Ten years ago he might have written of global warming and conservation or he might have rranted about the culture of consumerism. Today, I don’t see him talking of anything but the Iraq War.
