What would the effect of biogenerics be on prices for U.S. biologic drugs?
We believe Americans would clearly benefit from a reduction in the price of these drugs. In Germany, where Hospira sells Retacrit® (epoetin zeta) and where other biogeneric erythropoiesis-stimulating agents, or ESAs, sometimes called EPOs, are also available, we have seen a 20 to 30 percent drop.
