What would the consequences be if poverty was ended in africa?
If poverty was ended in Africa, there would be many significant effects on the economy and society as a whole. – Death rate would decrease and with more people living longer lives, there would be a shortage of resources and a strain on healthcare, food supplies and areas would become overpopulated and crowded. – If poverty ended, people would have more money and might start buying cars and other luxury goods that they didn’t have the opportunity to buy originally. Think of how China and India used to be very poor, even more so than today, and think about now and how economic growth has led to many people in these countries buying cars and using up the world’s oil supply and creating more pollution than existed before. – African people would probably migrate to the more wealthy and developed countries – mainly Europe – to seek a more prosperous and fullfilling life. This would cause migration rates to soar and many job vacancies in the host countries would be filled.
