What would Jupiter and its four galilean moons look like through a 90mm telescope?
Jupiter itself will look like a small disk, slightly flattened at the poles, with one or two belts visible. Don’t expect to see the Great Red Spot. The four moons will look like stars. I would like to suggest that you reconsider the telescope you’re buying. A 90mm telescope is too small to provide much satisfaction. Spend the same money on a reflector on a Dobsonian mount and you will get brighter clearer views and a telescope which is easier to use in every way. A 150mm reflector will show detail within Jupiter’s belts, the Red Spot, and the four moons as tiny disks.
