What would it take to get to Governor Kulongoski’s total revenue of $1.4 billion?
Our proposal raises at least $800 million in total funds per biennium. To get to the Governor’s desired funding levels would require an alternative funding source to generate approximately $200-$220 million in state funds. When combined with Oregon’s new federal match rate, these funds would generate at least $600 million in total funds. We have developed a viable and equitable basis for deriving at least $800 million in total finds and thus getting Oregon well on our way to meaningful expansion. Now it’s important to ask what options other groups are willing to bring to the table in order to help collectively solve this problem.
