What would it cost to extend the cable network in Shaftsbury?
The cost depends on what Comcast charges for extending cable service, the cost of the bond, and the number of homes that subscribe to cable service in the network extension area. If every residence in this area were to “take” (i.e. subscribe to) cable service, we estimate that the cost of servicing bond payments would be less than $7/month per residence. This estimate is optimistic, however, since not every residence would subscribe. Note that the bond service payments are in addition to all Comcast monthly fees, installation charges, or costs for non-standard installations — those more than 300 feet from the line extension.
