What would I need to start a new life in a different country?
I stayed an extra year in south west England after I finished my degree for the exact same reason – my dad and I don’t get along and he favours my sister (very openly in fact) and I didn’t want to go back and live with him and my sister and be treated like rubbish! Make sure you have really thought about this though – are you sure you want to move to Berlin or have you decided on it because you can move to Germany because you have joint citizenship (very spooky but so do I!) MAke sure this is really the place you want to go to. If you haven’t already been to Berlin then take a trip there – look on cheap websites for flights and accomadation. Then you can really decide whether that is the place you want to live. Make sure you do your research on the city, learn some of the language so you can get by and just do loads of research so you are prepared for the way of life and rules there.
