What would I need to purchase to turbo my 99 Subaru Impreza GX?
I want to put a turbo on my ’99 Subaru Impreza GX, but I have no idea where to start in regards to what parts I would need to buy. I am in Australia, so If you could tell me where I could buy/import the parts as well, i would be extremly greatfull. Thanks in advance A: There are a lot of engine modifications that usually need to be done to ensure your engine will be able to handle the added power of a turbocharger. Your best bet is to go to your local car performance shop and ask them. But if there aren’t any around, my suggestion would be to look into getting an entire Turbo Kit. These kits usually include everything you need to run a turbo except for an exhuast system. good luck… PS… another suggestion would to swap your engine with a Subaru WRX STi engine. Your impreza i believe weighs less that the STi, so that engine in your car would make it even quicker than the WRX. And it seems like a big job, but cost-wise it would not be too much more than an entire turbo kit.
