You will need: A tank of appropriate size A Heater if tropical fish and of appropriate size for tank Water Conditioner Water Testing kit (pH and Ammonia are all you need) Filter of appropriate size for tank including mechanical, Biological, and Chemical filtration(if you are not sure what they are ask a person in the fish section of the store) Food for the fish Gravel if wanted(not always needed) If getting a big tank you will also need a stand (water weighs something like 8lbs a gallon) Gravel Vac You will need to cycle your tank’s filter before bringing home fish. Take and leave the tank running for around 2-3 weeks OR find a friend with an established tank and take the new filter over if they will let you and leave running on the tank for around a week then you can bring it home and add it to your tank. (cycling allows the Biological filter to start to run and grow the necessary bacteria). For fish I would again recommend cycling the tank first then I would get the fish. For species
