What would have happened if Christ acted according to the faith of His disciples?
Suppose He had said, That is right. There is not enough. These five barley loaves and two fishes are not enough to feed these people. Then they would have gone away hungry. But the Lord never pays any attention to the weak faith of man. You may be in deep distress, and maybe your friends have tried to help you and have only discouraged you. But that doesnt mean that the Lord cant do anything. What does the Lord do? He gives them an opportunity. He gives them a second chance. Testing the Disciples for Approval and Service Christ said Make the men sit down, John 6:10. They could have said, Why make them sit down? We cant feed them. But He gives them an opportunity to do something for them. He gives them an opportunity to see a great miracle, and He teaches them a great lesson. And that lesson should be taught and received the same as they did.
