What would happen in America if Intelligent Design is taught in place of Darwinian Evolution?
We would quickly become a third world nation. We already have to import technical talent from overseas, because we can’t manage to properly educate enough of our own people to meet our country’s needs. If Intelligent Design were forced into America’s schools, we’d fall even further behind. I am honestly amazed that so many parents use religion to undermine their own child’s chances of success in school and in life. All too often, here in R&S, we hear from 13 year olds who are convinced that public education is an evil plot, the work of Satan, designed to corrupt their faith. By the time those poor kids learn enough to figure out the truth, they will already be so far behind their peers, they’ll have no real chance to succeed in our modern competitive civilization.
