I don’t think that we would enter a modern day great depression. The first Great Depression occurred initially because of a stock market crash, but it lingered for so long (a decade or so) because people didn’t know how or what to to do to get out of it. Our knowledge is better now, and we would be far more pragmatic in finding solutions in the event of a crisis.
