What would happen if the moon was square shaped?
Nothing, really, except that the square moon would rapidly become round. The corners of a moon shaped like a cube would be like having a mountain on earth a couple of thousand miles high — the sheer weight of that amount of rock would cause the corners to collapse into something more spherical, and tidal forces from the earth would constantly be pulling on the remaining mounds, gradually breaking them down over time.
