What would happen if the gravity on Earth was suddenly turned off?

Well, think that the absence of gravity in earth will make it more of a moon. It is the gravity that keeps the atmosphere intact = no gravity no air… So no living forms will exist. To explain more precisely, think of placing the earth in a vacuum chamber. Everything will be sucked off… Its quiet horrible to imagine earth without gravity buddy…! plant roots grow by gravity (geotrophic), rocket launching and Airplane flying needs gravity (escape velocity), we need gravity (locomotion), even the gravity of the earth makes the moon revolve around us, which in turn causes ocean currents and waves, so no rainfall without gravity… Well simply gravity is more important than atmosphere itself for our survival.Think of its necessity then.
