What would happen if laws were changed, such as drug laws, gun laws, environmental laws, internet usage, etc?
History shows that every time we pass a law banning something a lot of people want, we give the criminals a new source of tax free income. It happened with alcohol. It happened with pornography. It’s been happening with drugs for decades. We had the sense to lift the bans on alcohol and pornography. Now, no one kills anyone else for the right to sell either one on their turf and the government gets to collect taxes on both. We haven’t been that smart about drugs, yet.
