What would happen if an overweight person stopped eating for a few weeks?
You will do yourself more harm than good if you stop eating. And you might die. You should make an appointment with your family physican and talk to him/her about what you feel is your weight issue. I know, I have been down your road before. You will not lose weight if you stop eating. Eating sensibly is the best form of losing weight and doing some type of exercise even if it taking a 15-30 minute walk to start out with. Pick that phone up and call and make yourself an appointment with your doctor — they will be able to help and guide you. Mine did years ago and I am a better person. By the way, I joined WeightWatchers — they taught me how to eat properly — don’t get me wrong I go off of the good eating habit, but try and stay on it most of the time. By the way, if this is not you, you are asking about, get your friend of whoever it is to the doctor. Being thin is not worth you losing your life over. Being healthy is what it is all about.
They would starve and make themselves sick just like a thin person would. Chances are when they finally broke down and started eating again they would gorge themselves and gain back what weight they lost. Simply because someone is overweight does not mean they can live without food longer. We all need calories coming in.
