What would God say to evolutionists?
I am with those who would say that He would not tailor His message to them, but would say what He has been saying all along to all who would listen, that He made everything and people in particular as an expression of His love. He would let them know that He still loves them, desires their company, calls for their loyalty, and wants good for them. His message would be more non verbal than verbal, describing His glory and grace and making His presence known.
I’ve always said, both to evolutionists as well as to strict creationists, that I do not care HOW we were created, only THAT we were created. If God chose to use evolution in some form, fine. One could even say that we are continuing to evolve…I teach history, and it’s pretty hard to argue otherwise…on the other hand, if God chose to create us from dust, that’s just fine too…the point is that, and I don’t want to presume to put words in God’s mouth, the question doesn’t matter. We’re here by His hand, and that really is all that matters.
