What would cause a 2002 Dodge Neon to rev high in park?
I have a 2002 Dodge Neon automatic and the problem I have is when I start the car it revs very high and when I place it in drive it accelerates rapidly without depressing the gas pedal. A: have the computer scanned on it ,a bad throttle position sensor will make one rev real high like that or a stuck throttle cable,if its the cable you can free it fairly easy, if its a throttle position sensor it too can be replaced ,having it scanned may reveal whats making it do this,good luck with it.
