What would be the living and transport arrangements during volunteering?
Vfdnepal provides accommodation that is covered by the basic cost of volunteering. During language and cultural orientation for 5 days, volunteers need to stay with other volunteers at Vfdnepal Office in Kathmandu. After orientation, volunteers will be placed at their volunteering site where they have to stay with Nepalese host families.Vfdnepal compensates volunteer’s food and accommodation to the host family. All host families are well contacted and briefed about volunteer’s stay, work and safety. At the placement sites, well-trained Youth Coordinators will be together for assistance and coordination all the time. For transportation,Vfdnepal provides transportation to and from airport, short excursions and placement sites within Kathmandu Valley. This will be covered by the volunteering cost. This is applicable to all, but those who want to volunteer outside Kathmandu Valley need to pay extra for road-transportation varying from $25 to $50 based on the distance of the placement. Vfdn
