LOS stands are those forest seral stages that include mature and old-growth age classes. Characteristics of LOS habitat include the presence of large trees, multiple canopy layers, and abundant snags and down logs. LOS habitat supports a multitude of plant and animal species. In 1994, the Regional Forester established the Eastside Screens. The Eastside Screens were revised in 1995.
