What would be the advantages & disadvantages of the orthodox and reform church uniting?
Well, it kind of does, but I think what you would need to do is look at whether the issues that caused the reform church to break away from the orthodox church are still issues today – obviously while there is probably little difference in their fundamental credi, the differences that first caused the rift may still be sufficient to ensure that neither side would wish to allign completely with the other…. on the other hand, a united church would be a larger possibly more influential body.
