Starve them. Literally. I am willing to go up to 14 days without feeding or even worrying about my fish. If you give them those feeder blocks, it’s about the same anyway (they have very little nutrition in them) except the water might get cloudy. FYI, even though you didn’t ask: Get a real tank for your betta, the only people who keep them in empty little bowls (most people) don’t know anything about bettas. They are very active plant dwelling fish and deserve a heated, filtered, plant filled aquarium. If you do extensive research on them you’ll notice they can live for over 5 years, can live with lots of types of community fish, and are highly misunderstood thanks to fish stores and parrot people spreading inaccurate or plain wrong myths about them. I can give you another example right now “they come from dirty water”. Wrong. SOMETIMES they come from muddy water. THis minor inaccuracy makes some people believe these poor fish can be kept in dirty little bowls. Even a plastic 3 gallon
