Typically, if the the Wx antenna is connected and the antenna has poor reception, i.e. blocked by trees, buildings, then the Bit Error Rate numbers (located on the XM Weather status page) are very high. The idea with the Bit Error rate numbers are the lower the numbers the better. Typically, poor reception or no reception is Satellites 1 and 2 read 5440 and Ground wil read 6800. The Service Level will be —— (dashed out).
