What would be appropriate attire for going to see a show (a comedian) in Las Vegas?
First of all, Lewis Black has to be one of the funniest comedians performing today. It’s interesting how and when he got his start back in the 60s and some of that attitude is what makes his so funny today. I’m going to a show of his in New Jersey in about 6 weeks and can’t wait. Now, as far as your attire. It’s Vegas… vacation city. Unless the venue has a dress code (very few do) you’re going to see everything from cut-off shorts and tee-shirts (or worse) to suits and ties and “tea” dresses. Personally, I’d dress the way I feel comfortable or — if you want to make it a “special night” and enjoy dressing up — then take the opportunity to “put on the ritz” and have a fun night being the best-dressed couple in the audience. Then take a stroll through Paris and have a drink at a sidewalk cafe in the candle-light. The only think I don’t believe they allow in the shows is bathing suits… so don’t go for the beach look. HAVE FUN.. enjoy the comedy and remember: What happens in Vegas STA
