What would Anthony Bourdain order at 1515 Restaurant?
By Allyson Reedy Special to Metromix We were super excited to check out all the changes that 1515 Restaurant has made over the past few months. The already-stellar restaurant got a new executive chef out of Chuck James (formerly their sous chef) and the remodeled bar is sure to become the place to be for Denver’s most fashionable sippers. But we have to confess that it was more than 1515’s metamorphosis and excellent food that lured us in this week. It was the rumor that our celebrity chef/author/traveler/TV star crush Anthony Bourdain would be dining there when he stops by Denver for his speaking tour in November that had us running to Market St. We’re so smitten with both 1515 and Anthony that we decided to have owner Gene Tang feed us as if we really were the New York City stallion of the food world. Granted, we haven’t actually ever spoken to Mr. Bourdain, but in our delusional minds he was right there eating with us. And here’s what he had to say.
