Nope, if anything, the pay is not much higher than anywhere in LA, and I know that it’s lower than some areas in LA. This is because we have many many people who want to work in BH and the employers feel you should feel privileged to work at such a lovely establishment, and along with that doesn’t go a higher salary. The ladies that work in the shops on Rodeo don’t make more than if they work at other similar places, plus they have to put out more for clothes. $50,000 would be close to the top for an employee masseuse with many many years of experience. (To make more you need a fantastic client list, and believe me, rich people are cheap, so there is no guarantee you can make more no matter who your clients are.)
