Basically, one would stand before one’s lararium. Janus and Vesta would be honoured as the threshold and the hearth, respectively. A candle could then be lit and offerings of incense, liquids, and food stuffs presented to the powers concerned; the frequency and type of offerings involved will vary among practioners.
