What woud louis feed on instead of humans in interview with a vampire?
In Interview with A Vampire, Louis was one of the more tortured vampires since he still retained much of his humanity even as the undead. Because of this, he was often reluctant to feed on humans like so many of his vampire companions.
One of his earliest attempts to feed on an older rich lady resulted in him feeding on her two pet dogs instead because he was so overwhelmed with feelings of guilt. He also fed on rats and other animals instead of drinking human blood. After a while, he did come to terms with feeding from humans; however, they are still not his first preference and he would rather drink animal blood if he could.
