What workspace will be provided? What IT support / library facilities / experimental facilities will be available?
Students are registered with their own colleges and have access to the NOC and JR libraries. Students are on site only part time so therefore there are no formal arrangements required for a fixed workspace. Students will not be undertaking any experiments, so no experimental facilities are required. When students wish to meet with their Academic Advisers, the Adviser is responsible for arranging a room in their own office or other meeting facilities within the department. Each student has direct access to the department’s Librarian as well as Oxford University Computing Services (OUCS) for any additional support. Furthermore the Course Coordinator’s responsibilities include providing the students with direct support on a wide range of topics. The student’s first port of call with queries is usually the Course Coordinator followed by their Tutor.
