What work needs to be carried out after installation of the Damp Proof System?
Replastering should be carried out to the treated walls incorporating an integral waterproofing additive (supplied by Santia). This can be carried out immediately after installing an electro-osmotic system or a studded membrane but must be left two weeks when using other damp proofing methods. Where the external surface of the wall is being rerendered, to avoid bridging, the rendering needs to be finished at the Damp Proof Course line and a Bell Mouth Drip formed.
