What work do Forestry employees carry out during winter months?
Due to the volume of work required throughout the city, tree trimming and removal is carried out the year around. Some pruning and removal operations are actually easier during the winter when there are no leaves to clean up or to obscure the skeleton of a tree, and the ground is frozen resulting in less damage form heavy equipment and falling limbs.
