What words/terms are important for AP Psychology students to know?
Students should be aware of a few hundred terms and concepts in psychology. They should keep a separate glossary of terms at the back of their notebooks where the terms are defined and applied with examples. A list of the 100 most important terms in psychology was published in the July 1990 American Psychologist. Eugene Zechmeister and others have developed similar lists. It is also very helpful for students to link terms of a chapter together. The student workbook that accompanies Richard Gross’s Psychology textbook has a number of these graphic organizers for each chapter.
