What will you say about the recent violence involving the Boko Haram sect that engulfed some parts of Northern Nigeria and left in its wake hundreds dead?
The sectarian violence in parts of the North, particularly the North East and some parts of North West, is just a tip of the iceberg of the problems which this country is facing, particularly in the north. I can assure you that unless something is done quickly to redress the problem of poverty in this country; we will have more of Boko Harams. The Boko Haram is nothing but an expression of anger by youths, particularly, and some Nigerians to the government. They want to show to the world that things are not right particularly in this part of the country. Poverty is the real issue behind the Boko Haram saga. There is nothing else. If anyone tells you that Boko Haram has been dealt with, he is not being fair to himself. Unless employment is created for the teaming population of youths who now roam the streets after graduation from the university, we are scratching the surface.
