What will Writing Consultants not do?
• Writing Consultants are not editors, nor are they proofreaders. We will not be able to find and correct every error in your writing. We will, however, look for persistent types of problems. We will try to show you how you can learn to solve your writing problems and become your own best proofreader. • Writing Consultants are not content experts. We cannot evaluate the quality or accuracy of your content or research. Accuracy and validity of information is always your responsibility. • Writing Consultants can’t take the place of your instructors. Always consult with your instructor if you have concerns about assignment guidelines or grading. We will never discuss the grade your paper may receive. Writing Consultants are, however, always happy to work through a graded paper with you in order to help you better understand your instructor’s comments.
