What will UMP members experience in 2011?
The Public Employees Benefits Board will still determine health care benefits provided through UMP as well as member premiums and other cost-sharing amounts. Regence will provide members access to the covered health care services through the Regence Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network and the extensive Blue Cross Blue Shield networks outside the Regence service area and across the nation. Washington State Rx Services will continue to provide the prescription drug benefit and will coordinate closely with Regence to achieve seamless medical and pharmacy services. Regence will manage UMP from its Seattle headquarters and provide core services including customer service and claims processing from its Burlington service center. Members will gain access to live telephone support on every call and sophisticated online tools such as live chat to help members get the most from their health benefits.
