WEA can direct an accredited wheat exporter to arrange an external audit and to provide WEA with a written report of the audit findings. These powers enable WEA to regularly review the financial conditions and activities of accredited exporters especially where a breach of conditions or unscrupulous conduct is suspected. WEA also conducts random audits of accredited exporters as part of its monitoring activities.
