We use 50 pound off-set (an equivalent of copy paper) for the pages of our books. If your book is one hundred pages (including ALL pages, not just numbered pages), your sheet count would be 50 (100 divided by 2 pages per sheet). You would then measure the 50 sheet thickness (3/16ths of an inch) and add 1/16th of an inch to any measurement for a total spine width of a quarter inch.
