What will the SIA do if there are not enough licensed door supervisors after 4 June?
A. After 4 June it will be an offence to work as an unlicensed door supervisor or to provide unlicensed door staff. A network of SIA investigators will work closely with partnerorganisations such as the police, local authorities and the industry itself to ensure compliance of the regulations and licensing. They, like us, want to see professional,trained and qualified door staff working at pubs and clubs, and most importantly so do the public. It will be the responsibility of licensed premises to ensure they meet the legalrequirements.
