What will the quality of the video be in a live scenario, when there is a lot of traffic?
The video in a live scenario will be streamed at around 280-290 kbps (similar to that in the test clip). In the near future, we plan to add a higher bandwidth option. For streaming the video, we use Akamai, one of the worlds largest content distributors, with thousands of points of presence all over the US. The video will be most probably be streamed out of servers that are located closest to you. Handling the traffic while the match is in progress should not pose a problem as Akamai has handled exponentially more concurrent streams in the past. In addition, we have several backup options in place, to ensure that our subscribers have a good viewing experience.
