What will the Programme mean for Barnsley?
In addition to delivering 21st century learning environments for all young people through the construction of 9 Advanced Learning Centres and 2 special schools the BSF programme will enable BMBC, in partnership with Barnsley Partnership for Learning (BP4L), to provide a range of additional opportunities for young people, employment and training opportunities and training for teachers and other school staff. This will give a significant boost to the regeneration of the Borough. During the building period a number of construction related learning activities will be offered within schools such as enterprise activities, master classes and career talks, whilst there will also be opportunities for work experience placements in construction and related activities such as architecture.
