The estimated cost for the new pool is $4.5 million. Will the City increase the cost for pool passes and daily admission with the new pool? No. The City will not increase costs for pool passes and daily admission. How well will the new pool be able to accommodate swimming competitions? The new pool will include ten (10) lap lanes for competition — the same number of lanes used in the 2008 Olympics in China. Ten lap lanes are more than sufficient to provide the space required to conduct large swim meets. When will construction begin and how long will it take? There will not be a season without a pool while the new pool is being built.
