What will the new DISS family of systems entail?
To achieve the overall reform focus area objectives outlined by the JRT, the DISS Family of Systems will consist of three distinct, but integrated, systems accessed from a personalized and secure web portal. The Case Adjudication Tracking System (CATS), the Automated Continuous Evaluation System (ACES) and the Joint Verification System (JVS) will all be integrated into one family of systems by way of an Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) layer and accessed from a common enterprise web portal. Although transition to the DISS Family of Systems full operating capability will take place in several phases, upon full deployment these systems will work together to create a truly integrated and modern family of systems. The Clearance Adjudication Tracking System supports the process of rendering determinations of an applicants eligibility for clearance and provides a framework for assessing an applicants trustworthiness and fitness.
