What will the new bus station contain?
The bus station will be fully accessible with a covered concourse. Facilities will include: – a direct footbridge linking the bus station and rail station; – convenient and fully accessible toilets including a Changing Places facility and baby changing facilities; – high quality passenger waiting areas with seating at each bus stand; – stands and lockers for cycle parking; – retail and cafe facilities; – a GMPTE Travelshop in the bus station concourse; – clear and concise electronic passenger information displays showing bus and rail information; – CCTV and with high quality lighting to increase safety and security; – a lift; and – a Shopmobilty outlet (mobility equipment hire) is also being considered.
