What will the living accommodation at the temple consist of?
The program offers you an authentic experience living within a Thai temple – not at a 5 star hotel! As such your accommodation will be austere and functional; while being completely comfortable and adequate for your needs. Your bed is a traditional monk-style bed, which is a flat plank equipped with a thin mattress and a simple pillow. This bed is consistent with the needs of those participants who choose to follow the ‘Eight Precepts’ (discussed above). If you are not following the Eight Precepts, we will be happy to furnish you with additional mattress pads should you require. Men may need to share a room with another man and women may share a room with another woman. While couples are welcome on the program they are required to sleep separately for the duration of their stay. Please inform us in advance if you wish, for any reason, to have a private room and we will do our best to make this happen. The bathrooms are equipped with Western-style toilets and have running water. Please
