The direct tax benefits to each community will vary along the pipeline depending on the local tax structure. Because the current route is still tentative, it’s too early to estimate the exact benefit to each city, township, or county along the route. In addition to the taxes received from the pipeline itself, communities should see a direct economic impact from the construction of the pipeline. Hotels, restaurants, and retailers will experience increased business from construction crews working on the project. Also, taxes from equipment and other ancillary purchases will directly benefit the communities where we work.
