The NFL commissioner probably will lean toward tacking on to the suspension once Vick is out of prison. If Vick serves 18 months in prison, he will probably miss the 2007 and 2008 seasons. Goodell could suspend him for a year, which could keep him out for the 2009 season. Vick may not be allowed to play in the NFL until 2010 at the earliest. What are his chances of getting back into the NFL? Not good. It would take a general manager with a lot of wins on his rsum to go to his owner to suggest picking up Vick.
