• Attend the Instructor course • Instruct under an experienced Instructor for at least 40 hours (at least 4 sessions to be in the presence of a mentor) • Be assessed by an MYA/YA endorsed assessor for the particular scheme • Meet the requirements: • Be 18years Old • Hold a YA Assistant Instructor Cerfiticate (this can be undertaken as you move through your instructor course and practical experience but must be obtained prior to completing your instructor assessments) • Hold Powerboat Handling Certificate (from National Powerboat Handling Scheme) • Hold First Aid Certification that, at least, complies with the regulator of OH&S regulations in the state/territory of operation
